This helped so much! Just one quick question… how do you recommend practicing it? like try it on a trampoline or just try it on the hill ?

A trampoline is a great place to develop air awareness and learn the feeling of a flip.
Trying off a cat track into powder or slushy snow is an awesome way to bring it to the hill.

Wow, sorry for not replying sooner, comment slipped by us. To do a side flip you gotta not fold at the waist. I have a friend who has the same problem when he tries to tamedog. He folds forward at his waist and ends up doing a weird sort of barrel roll. You’re back has to stay straight and the you have to sort of like handless cartwheel over your nose. I hope that helps out.
